I work with both children and adults, helping clients navigate life’s challenges with a supportive, goal-oriented approach. My background spans school counseling, behavioral health, and faith-based counseling, allowing me to support clients across a range of issues.
In my work with children, I specialize in early childhood emotional development, helping young clients process family changes, grief, and behavioral challenges. I utilize play-based interventions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Counseling (SFBC) to help children express themselves and build resilience.
For adults, I focus on life transitions, relationship concerns, and personal growth. I also work with individuals recovering from addiction, emphasizing life skills, self-awareness, and healthy relationships. My counseling approach is primarily person-centered, integrating CBT, SFBC, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques as needed. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space while also helping clients set practical, achievable goals.
I also offer Christian counseling for those who wish to integrate faith into their healing journey.
I’ve always been passionate about helping people grow and overcome obstacles. My experience spans education, addiction recovery, and mental health, giving me a well-rounded perspective on the challenges people face at different life stages. In addition to my counseling work, I have a background in teaching and a deep appreciation for learning. I am a Christian, a husband of 24 years, a father of 2 wonderful teenagers and 2 fur babies, and a "helper" deep down in my heart. My goal is to help others move closer to their goals.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with family, exploring new ideas, and thinking about ways to make mental health support more accessible.
